I am in need of loading up on chubs for this fall fishing at the berry. Is it legal to use a cast net at the berry ? Is there any other place in the central region were i can just go net some fom shore?

I used to see a lot on Lower Fish Creek below Scofield. There were big schools of them in the slack water areas.

Yes it is legal to use a casting net at Strawberry. In the good old days I used to get all of my minnows there. I would get them before heading out fishing. I once got over 100 of them with one cast of the net, off of the docks at The Strawberry Marina.
