I put in at Soddy Creek this morning about 6:30 to fish with Billy BBass looking for some crappie as he said he had given all his away and the freezer was empty of crappie. While I was waiting on him to show up I decided to cast a few times just to see what was hungry before daylight. I had 3 in the livewell before he got there at 6:40 and we tried for a few minutes more at that spot before moving on down the river to try docks, structure, and bluffs, emoTongue Sure thought it was going to be a great day for filling Billy's freezer but didn't turn out to be as good as we hoped, emoRolleyes We ended up with 18 crappie, (10 keeper size), a couple bass, a couple yeller bass, and a couple 'gills, emoScratch Where did the crappie go emoQuestion emoScratch We had fun but would have liked to have put more in the livewell to help fill his freezer, emoSmile <br />I enjoyed the company, Billy, and look forward to another trip which will be better fishing, I hope, emoThumbsup Water temp was 78* to 81* and there was a light breeze out of the north. Air temp was 77* and it was cloudy all day. Plenty of destroyers and chiggers after 11:00 <br />I did catch one nice largemouth bass on a BG crystal shad which was what we caught most of the fish on today,emoThumbsup emoFish <br />
