[cool][#0000ff]As you know, I generally prefer fishing from a float tube. But, I just got a smokin' deal on a nice big boat and figured "What the heck. I can use it to move my tube across big waters to fish the other side."[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]But, it has been a while since I have launched a boat and have had some problems. I can't seem to get the boat off the trailer. The guy I bought it from only told me not to get the trailer too deep in the water.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Seems like I've heard THAT before. Good advice for many of life's (and fishing) situations.[/#0000ff]

Sombody throw the cooler and the rods in the Ford, then park the skiff, we gotta get fishin!
[signature]
you need to go a little faster before you hit the water.... Also leave the tie-down straps attached also, that way you could pull the trailer and truck around just in case you wanted to get out of the water somewhere else. Good job just need to go a little faster next time... lol

I'd rather be dead than be that stupid!
Respectively I think the drivers brakes were out of functionality. Or he or she was drunk.
Can't say I've never been stupid though.[:/]
I can recall time fishing where I forgot my worms. Luckily I turned around and got them. Only drove two blocks.
Forgot my tackle box a time or two. He he! My fishing license several times.

[cool][#0000ff]Most of us have seen the opposite scenario, where the vehicle loses brakes while backing down, or driver error puts the tow vehicle too far back in the water. That is bad enough. But, I have never seen the vehicle going in first.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Could be anything from "substance abuse" to simple lack of ability and coordination by the driver.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By the way, did you notice my new multideck float tube docked in the background of that picture? All the bells and whistles but a real bear to move around with just my fins.[/#0000ff]

No, but I did notice you standing at the back of the boat![sly]
