First time poster, long time lurker.
I didn't see any posts regarding the lower lower lower provo river so thought I would provide a report. We stayed at the Lakeshore Campground(4400 west Center Street) labor day weekend. Other than the flurry of mosquito's, it was an enjoyable weekend. I fished the Provo river from shore at the most western part of the campground near a large metal bridge like structure(beige metal tubing that likely transported utility wires across the river). I used a 1/4 oz silve kastmaster to reel in five cookie cutter white bass to use as catfish bait. Next day took the little guys out to test out the new bait at 7am. My nine year hooked into this one, ran the length of the river until his zebco ran out of line then we horsed him in. Put up a great fight for the little youngster.
I took my porta-bote out on the river Sunday(heading towards mouth of Utah Lake), saw alot of shore fishermen catching white bass. Ran across three brown trout just surfing the surface. I was surprised to see them so close to the mouth of Utah Lake.
