Headed to Watts Bar this morning with high hopes that the cooler weather has got the stripers running. Put the boat in about 7 and headed to the dam in search of bait. They had #1 and #2 turbines on so tied up to the fist turbine and cast netted some bait. Got alot of small threadfin about 2" but kept at it and got a net full about 6 or 7 dozen good size ones about 5" and started drifting. First drift up my dad and I had a double header. Two stripe the first drift I love when that happens. We caught 8 striper all morning up till about 10 a.m with a couple cats, small mouths, and a big drum mixed in. Fished till about 11 and headed back in so I could get to school. All fish were caught in the tail waters on live threadfin and released unharmed. Pics of the highlights.
