There are thousands of 3 to 4 inch white bass in Lindon right now. They feed like crazy on the bugs from first light until about 8am. I caught about sixty this morning on a fly rod. They make great catfish bait. I also caught four or five 8 inchers while fishing for the tiny ones.

What flies were you using?

I was using a hares ear nymph under a parachute adams, most of the fish came on the nymph. I never tried anything else, I'm guessing they would take anything. Most of the fish I caught were within 10ft of shore. I didn't even bother casting, just took the fish off and flipped the fly back out.

I tied some chartruese streamers up today to try out on the whities and now I know to try out a nymph as well.[sly]
