Still waiting for Dustponds10's report, but OMG what a day.

The first three days of this trip...cold and windy. Well Poky had to leave yesterday and today is WOW!!!! Is this the last of September?

It is HOT and slightest of breeze:

No 30+" fish today but the numbers were up with an all around great 4 hours of fishing.

Steady too.

Nice!

The scenary is awesome. The wife and I might head up there for the atmosphere once again this weekend. We were thinking about going to Lewiston for some Steelhead but Henry's is still on the back of our minds.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Hey nice fish, I posted a few pictures of what we caught, we didnt have steady fishing but it was fun, read my report and well have a laugh. Let me know where you get your chenelle for that fly, that you tied up and that you sent me an email about. I cant find it any where and well I think that that was key to us not have such a steady day of fishing.

Any of the Fly Shops should have it. Jimmy's in Idaho Falls does, Sportsmens. In Pocatello, Portneuf Outfitters carries it.
If you still have trouble, give me a shout and I will pick some up for you.

I read your report....Ahhhh boats, gotta love them.
Most mistakes are a ONCE IN A LIFE TIME THING>
Like I bet, you will only forget the drain plug ONCE....[laugh]

Good seeing you and that is a sweet water ride you got there.

Another UNUSUALLY HOT day here in the Continental Divide. Upper 70's and water temp around 60 for the high.

Slight breeze and a beautiful JULY day.

Fish are still there and today was a pretty good day:

Oh yeah, for those who do not or have not, fished Henry's, It is a shallow lake and full of underwater brush. The brush should be almost gone by now but it is still big and proud. Full of food for these monster fish:

ONE MORE GLORIOUS DAY for us then back to home remodeling....ARGH!

Yeah boats are really fun, and you can bet that I didnt forget to put the motor in neutral everytime that i Started it. It was awesome. I have had the boat for the better part of 6 years and I have had it out 2 times this year and to tell you the truth, this is the most I have had it out. Sad I know. But looking forward to using it more and still buy a toon some time. Any better pics of the fly if so shout me a pm please. I have never been able to really find the stuff.

Having computer issues-can't seem to complete a post or reply, this will make 4th try...
Great to see you there-even though it was really only to say Hello and introduce
myself. Gorgeous trout! You've had a great week! I love your toon-excellent set up.
My boat is great but I miss the quiet days of my toon and NOT paying for the GAS! hah!
We managed to get a few-8, but all were caught between 10-11am. We stayed until 2
then hit the SF of the snake. Caught a bunch of 14" cuts there on top-great day all
around. My brother lives in Ohio and only gets over here once/yr so we made the best
of it.

included a couple of the Henry's catch from 9/23 and also adding a few from when I
brought my younger brother and his son-back in June. They through spinners and
managed to catch some good looking brookies! My daughter also landed her first
Henry's fish!

forgot to add-pics are of the ones we KEPT. Just thought I would add that tid bit since
we have poses with fingers in their gills!!! Hah!! Tasted great-very RED meat.[Wink]

i wondered if you kept them but wasnt going to hijack the post and make it a c&r spamming like it would be on the utah site. first one is a great looking fish did you get a weight or lenght
[signature]
about 21"-didn't have my scale but I would say 4lbs

Heay, I am not one to make a stink at the way people hold fish, because......IT HAS ALREADY HAPPEN!!! Get over it.
Anyway....NICE FISH!!!! Love the Dark Brown colors on the Cutts, but MAN those HYBRIDS are HUGE.
That Brook should have tasted pretty good also.

I got to tell you. We had a RINKER 18 1/2' er with the Merc inboard/outboard 4.3. Great fishing boat and water skiing.
But we started using it less and less as it took one vehicle to pull the trailer and the other to pull the boat.(Small trailer, so not sure on the train thing with the boat on the back, due to the fact the boat would have been a little bigger)
We then bought a 14' fishing boat with a 25 four stroke. Nice boat, but a little too small on ruff waters for us. So, bought a 16' but, I think we used it twice and bought Pontoons in which we have been using every since. Sold the boat and bought the upper end pontoons with all the fixings.

Now we can train them but they can also be deflated and put in the trailer or the back of the truck.

Boats do have their place though. Still thinking Porta-Boat.

i love there colour and the spots hard to find a better looking trout
[signature]
The EXACT reason I bought the larger jetboat-I can still pull our kids around (and adults)
on skis and tubes but can fish most waters.
Some day I'm sure I'll trade it in but for now we're enjoying it! Do you get to fish the SF
much? My toon is great but I can't really fish rivers out of it-more for floating, getting
out and hitting a riffle. Yours looks like you could fish out of it a little better.

There's so many great places to fish....and so little time!!

That last line is sooooo true!!!

Every time I drive by your place and see your boat gone, I get jealous. Great looking fish I need to get up there this fall but my wife hasn't been feeling well and I think I would feel bad leaving her, but those big fish might make it worth it LOL. Ask forgiveness later right.

ask forgiveness if you forget your anniversary or her birthday but temporary insanity due to large fish is a automatic [cool]
