Anyone fish Brownlee lately? Do you know if they still have the water turned on during OCt. at Woodhead?

Was just up there last week, bass fishing was a blast. Probably did the best on lipless crankbaits, but jigs and drop shot rigs worked great also. Bass were hitting the lures hard and aggressive. Caught a few crappie by accident, but wasn't targeting them. Water was down 20+ feet and the clarity was pretty dang clear. We had action everywhere, but down along the Dam in the big rip rap produced the most and constant action, even picked up really fat 16" largemouth.

After talking with the Woodhead Park workers, they said that sections C and D maybe closed off after the 2nd or 3rd weekend of October. (he said they kind of just wing it)

Sections A and B will still be open and will have water at the sites until they feel there is a risk of freezing pipes, which could be up to November. The showers and restrooms will still be open and potable water will still be available at their frost free faucet next to the dump station, so you can get water for your camper if needed. Sections A and B will be open all winter, just no water at the sites when it gets really cold.

We will be back up around the 11th or 12th. It's a very peaceful up there this time of year.
