NEVADA MOUNTAIN STREAMS & LAKES

The water levels have dropped enough to make many of the streams fishable. Streams such as Tabor Creek, Bruneau River, Pearl Creek and Lamoille Creek are good bets. One of my favorites is to fish the beaver ponds at the upper end of Lamoille with a mosquito or mosquito larva pattern. Grasshoppers on the surface and worms tumbled along the bottom work well. You can get into some of the alpine lakes now, and a perennial favorite pattern for fly fisherman is a black or carpenter ant pattern. Have a great Independence Day!
