My son Dewayne who lives in Frnaklin Tenn only had one more day to gather in some slabs for his freezer. We started out about 9:00 and stopped at 4:00 today. Our plan was to shoot some docks and hope for the best. It was a good day. We caught about 45 crappie today with 17 keepers. Also several blue gill and Dewayne landed a 3.3 oz large mouth bass (on 4 lb. Mr. Crappie line) which is pictured here and he had fun with it. We found the crappie in anywhere from 4 ft of water to 18 ft of water. Most bites were deep and on bottom when the water was less than 7 ft deep. We used Stubby Butts and BG Shads for the most part. The water temp was in the low 70's when we started and probably over 75 when we finished. The wind was not so bad today. It was a fine day to be out with my son as he doesn't get to come home very often these days.
