Had a great time this weekend. Friday I hiked in about three miles and got into a covey of big blues. Managed two (really poor shooting). On my way back to the truck I stumbled upon a covey of ruffs and finished up the limit. What a great time. Took the boat out that night and caught a bunch of fish and scouted for ducks. Woke up Saturday morning and redeemed my shooting from the day before by knocking down my seven in about twenty minutes. Great time. Lots of grouse and ducks this year.

Since being married I have ruined one digital camera and my wife has ruined another during outdoor trips. She dropped one in spawn creek taking a picture of me and a fish and I got dirt in the lense of another one while taking pictures of dead pheasants in North Dakota. Therefore I am no longer allowed to bring digital cameras on outdoor adventures. I do occasionally take them with a 35mm but usually don't go to the effort. Besides, friday night my brothers incredible duck/pheasant lab sniffed out my day pack and ate one of the blues. Lucky he is a good hunter or I would have shot him for sure.
