well i couldn't get jr out of bed at 6am so i took off to grasshopper by myself to try and get on some crappie . <br /><br />went down river a bit to try out some spots closer to hbsp for the upcoming crappie tournament . scanned some docks that held a lot of promise with the side imager but couldn't get bit for nothing shooting under the dock or fishing the outside edges. then about 8:30 i started playing around in between the dock and the bluff and in 30 min had 12 keepers with 4 pushing 14" emoParty it was only 6ft deep in that spot and it was start a slow erratic retrieve<br />as soon as it hit the water (lots of brush to get snagged on) . right before they quit i had on what was most likely a nice tarp , he made the 13-3/4 i had in the well look small with the one good look i had at him before he spit the hook back at me emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad emoDoh emoDoh <br /><br />then from 9am on to about 12 i just could not get back on them emoDoh and with reading the other reports for the day it seems it was just me with my head up my backside emoDoh <br /><br />i did keep the 7 that went over 11" and they weighed in at 7lbs10oz so it still wasn't a bad day but i may just have <br />to burn the gas to where i am more confident catching crappie for the tourney. <br /><br />current seemed to be moving pretty decent and all fish where caught on the bg bleeding shad very shallow. water temp was low 70's<br /><br /><br />almost forgot to mention that i met groomer out there and talked to him and his partner for a bit. hope to see ya out there again. <br />
