Hi carpmayster, I also love fishing for carp. Been doing it since the late sixties when I used to do it with my dad. His best was a 23lb. 33 inch common carp. Mine is a 12lb. common carp and my son earned a 10lb. common carp. I installed rod holders secured with steel on my Jon Boat so when we sit there and wait for that hit we don't have to worry about the carp ripping the rod holder out. They are fun to fight.
