My dad and I had planned a trip for sat am, I overslept, and did not get up until 7:30, saw him walking across the field to my house to get me! He was ready to battle the elements. Hit the water about 8:30, steady drizzle and pretty windy. I could hardly fish at all trying to keep the boat in position for him to shoot docks, but he was on fire. He landed 8 before I caught my first, and he was loving it. A subtle boat position change later and I had 4 quick ones and started to play catch-up. We fished 4 docks, finding fish on each of them, then hit a bluff where we caught 10 more, all of them were a lot deeper than the dock fish. All of the fish today were better than average size, but the bluff fish (over submerged timber) were the biggest, My dad landed a 15" monster that came to the surface and shook his head like a bass - pretty cool!

No pics cause of the rain, current really slowed down @ 11:00 and the fish did too, took my dad to some nearby grass and he caught a fat 3 lb bass on a frog. A great ending to the day.

Total caught: 37 crappie (kept 12 avg size ones for 2 dinners), 2 spots, 1 bluegill, 1 nice bass

Almost all were caught on 1/32 with crystal pa's and tail lights. The lighter jigs even worked better on the bluffs, when you could be patient enough to let it fall.

I am taking my childrens principal fishing for crappie this fri afternoon, hope the good fishing continues.

Saw Polo and his guard dog on the water, should have backed off and glassed him to learn some of his tricks....
