DeYoungFisherman and I hit Bear Lake yesterday in search of some macs. Fished the area around Cisco Beach. Water temp is 51, and we fished the first 5 hours of the morning.
Marked fish in large groups at times, suspended about 45 - 60 feet down over 75 to 90 feet of water.
No lakers for us. Just 3 fat and sassy cutts in the 18" range. Tried everything we had on our downriggers.

Thanks for posting your report Brad, sounds like the catching hasn't changed much since last weekend. Good to hear you caught some cutts, did you try any jigging?

Actually the "catching" has been the best I have seen in many years for lakers. You've just got to know where to do it. I've talked to anglers all week and they have been slaying the lake trout. Troll SHALLOW. I don't know how many times I have said this over the years. The lakers are in spawning mode and they are in anywhere from about 4-20' of water. I posted a report about my trip on Wed. and Friday. Both days were great catching.
