I bought this beautiful GREEN glass blank this summer. An 8' 5/6.
I have the silk thread picked out, and the tip top is on. I am going with a smaller Full Well (like the JWF) for it.
This reel seat caught my eye...this is going to be soooooo coool.

The Bamboo will be first however as I already have the cork and wood reel seat (traditional) on it.

The blank is awesome. Faster for Glass. The reel seat is a triangle...pretty cool.
I will post the transformation this fall / winter.

so let me get this right.. that is the reel seat in the picture and not a metal base of some sort that cork would go over??? if so that is very new age.. very non traditional.. and very very cool looking.. :-)

Cork will go in front. It is retro, that is what caught my eye. I only wish the center was hollow (it is a black tube) so the Green could show through.
