Hope this is the right place to post!

I travel a lot to go fishing and go abroad a couple of times a year (Panama & Florida this ear).

Recently I saw a TV show in the UK where a a guy was fishing in and around NY. On one trip he was fishing for Striped Bass and on another trip he was sight fishing in shallow water for Redfish & Striped Bass (with a lady guide).

I'm looking for all the info. I can get on doing something similar as I'm planning a weeks trip to NY. Especially I'd like to know the best time of year for Stripers & Redfish, what location and some decent guides but any advice / help would be much appreciated.

the best time to target Striped Bass is May though November.

locations for shallow is Long Island and Staten Island,

I hear the catch them on top of the hudson river where it is deap..

I cant realy offer you a guide, you will need to look further in to this board, there are guides who have posted here in the past.
