Who is mr wiggly? I'm not sure how deep it was but it was in open water. Utcatman, it is not an osprey. They are swimbaits that I have a mold for

Ooops, I thought you had done the lure making according to Larry Dahlberg. Here is his website. This is not a competing forum...

He sells a mold for a big plastic that looks just like yours that he has named "mr. wiggly".
He sells lots of lure making stuff you might like.

That is a nice hog of a fish. Just wondering if you let it go? Completely understand if you didn't. That one would be on my wall.
Where did you catch it (general area)? Tell me more about the home mad swimbait. Any pictures of iy? I would love to learn to make them.

The fish was hooked perfectly in the bottom lip, right in the corner, but bled like it had been shot. I have no idea why, it just bled really bad and wouldn't have survived. I had to take it. I am strictly CP&R, but I just wouldn't feel right letting this one float belly up, which is why I kept it and am getting it mounted. I don't know the area, it was only my 2nd time at strawberry. We launched from strawberry marina is all I know. I had to ask where I caught it, and I still had no idea. I probably wouldn't really say where I caught it, even if I knew where it was, but it was in open water, I have no idea how deep.
The swimbait is 5" and I customized this one from all the other ones I have poured. Weight changes depending on how I want to fish. I do have some pics, but will have to upload them later. The thing was a toad

Good work Treep. That is a beast of a fish. Definitely a fish of a lifetime for some of us out of that lake. I would mount him too. I just went to Scofield and caught and released more fish than I counted, but nothing of size like that MOBY. Thanks for the pictures.

here is a pic of the mount. The guy had to use a steelhead mold, but just grind the bottom jaw off a little bit and other than that is perfect. The exact same fish length and girth. [inline Mount.jpg]
