Looking across the titles of forums I do not know if pickerel would fit in with the pike,musky forum or the panfish forum. I know they are akin to pike and muskys but just wondering if they are closer to panfish as a style of fishing ?

They would be under pike,musky but nobody really talks about them.

actualy, they are more closely related to walleye.
some call them pike perch hi breds, but they realy arent.
Algonac Michigan has an anual pickeral event every summer. Most any walleye species is eligable for entry.
This years biggest entry was disqualified because it was turned in dead and frozen... "I tell ya some people just never get it... LOL
