Had an afternoon trip with a good ole bud, Joe, to do some crappie fishing & artifact hunting. We fished the river banks in 2 new spots, and hauled in 36 slab keepers. We had 30 in the well, and I told Joe, "Lets get 35 & we will quit and go for some arrow heads", well I hauled in the 35th slab, and was culling a smaller one out of the well, and Joe brings in the 36th. I wanted a good round # like 35, and he has to ruin it!!! Well we should have stayed till we got 40, but one of us would have gotten the 41st, and then...well you know. I'm telling you, there is no telling how many we could have caught! The current had stoped so we could fish the trees without getting hung all the time. No, we were not shooting docks, but fishing trees on the river banks in 15' to 20' of H2O, with 16th oz lead, and BG Baby Bass'. Half with floats, and half tightlining. I'll try to post a pic this time.
