This morning I had the pleasure of taking 7 wonderful gentlemen who are residents of a home for developmentally challenged adults on a fishing excursion for bluegill. While the wind was brisk, their bamboo poles were hot, and thanks to the catch and release policy of the place we were fishing these guys were able to catch at least 70 bluegill before the waxworms ran low. Of course by this time old Tennfisher was pretty well whipped from trying to keep 7 poles baited, fish off, tangles out of lines, etc. Because of all this activity I just didn't have any time to take pictures to share, but the happiness on the faces and in the whoops of these guys when the floats plunged and the pole tips came up is something I will remember for a long time. The biggest lesson I got reinforced on me today is that successful fishing trips come in lots of different flavors, and sometimes you can have a great fishing trip and never wet a line for yourself.

Tennfisher
