I decided to take a day off today and celebrate with my son Will who just finished the 2150 mile hike from Maine to Georgia on the AT! emoApplause emoApplause emoUSA We decided to go fishing since he has not been in the new (used) boat. He invited his girlfriend Jess to go with us. Jess is from DC and really never been on the lake so it was a treat for her to be out on the water. Put the boat in around 11:30 am and looked for large schools of shad. emoAngler The shad had moved off the main lake and so had the bass. Finally caught up with some in the back of a cove. emoAngler We were entertained by jumping fish and flying shad. It was as much fun watching as it was catching. Finished up around 4pm. Most caught on cranks and spinnerbaits. Very little on TW even though they were busting. Problem with TW is that they were moving too fast. Even caught some shad on the cranks as they were pretty thick! emoFish emoFish
