Kory and I are planning on fishing Strawberry Saturday (if the ramps are not too slick). Will be leaving Bountiful area about 5:15 AM and we will leave when we get tired of reeling them in. If anyone is up to braving the winter weather with us, and share gas expense, send me a PM.

I hope the 42 is the temperature, rather than the depth of the snow.[:/]

Guess I need to head to the store in search of some WARM clothes [Wink] I froze my TOES off, among other things on sunday. Hopefully the wind wont be bad this time, that makes it worse.

I usually do fine, except for getting cold fingers.

I'm just a wimp anymore. When i was a kid, i use to go to school in shorts in the winter.

I had on two pairs of socks, but had on some holey tennis shoes, so thats why my toes were cold. My fingers werent cold until my gloves got wet after i caught my ONE fish i caught. Then even after changing gloves, i couldnt get them warm again. I had on thermal pants, thermal carhardt jeans, a tank top, tshirt, two hoodies, a wool lined jacket and thermal coveralls and i was STILL cold lol. I felt like that kid on the christmas story. I couldnt even hardly move lol. I could have dealt with it, but then i started to get a migrane and kait was whinning, so dad dropped us off at the dock and we went and sat in the truck and got warm while we went and tried some more, but still didnt find the fish. I swear they put fish repellant in the boat's paint.

Boat is full.

Will you let me know how the ramps are? We are planning on going up next sat and are deciding between pontoons or the boat. The ramps are a concern if we go with the boat. Thanks for your help.

You can count on it; however, even if they are a problem I wouldn't worry about them in a week with the current weather forecast.

Ramps were dry.

Ramps were dry but the docks are all out at Renegade.
How did you do Kent?
We found a few but didn't knock them dead.
We never found you though[Wink]

We did extremely well. Started off slow, but after awhile it caught on fire. We had a few triples and had we not lost one of the fish we would have had a quad. Hot tube was crawdad tipped with chub minnow vertical in about 24' of water. Sorry you couldn't find me, I was right where I said I would be.

Few pictures from the trip.

Were you anchored by the point of a cove? We thought that might be you but wasnt sure so we didnt go over there. We didnt do too bad, we drifted and hit some fish and we all caught about 4 each. All were around 18 or 19 inch cutts with the exception of one 18 inch bow, a 14 inch cut, and i caught a cute little 6 inch (about) cutt. It sure wasnt as cold as it was last weekend. There were times two or three of us either had a fish on or a bite.

Not sure where you are talking about, but I doubt it. Wish that you would have found us, I would have liked to have met you and shared a few tips with you on how I fish Strawberry. Not sure how many fish we caught, but it was likely over 100. I will send an email to your father showing where we were fishing. What hours were you there?

yea, mom and dad use to catch that many fish when they went up there before all the time (about 5 years ago). This year we havent been able to find the fish or something. We got up there about 10 and left at 3. The boat i was talking about was sitting at the point of the second cove over from the opening of the narrows.

We do really well at Bryants Fork.
I am still finding them in 30' to 40' and a fast strip of a fast sinking line.

Big hairy flies though with BROWN still being the ticket.

Okay, I have a picture for you.....

Have you ever looked at a fish straight on? This is a normal trout.
But for some reason, it looks awesome! Like MAMMY just came out of it's mouth:
