<br /> John and I went upriver to fish for crappie today. We had a very good day indeed. John took me to some places that I have never been before, let alone fish, and it turns out that he is a pretty good guide when you can keep him awake. emoBig
<br /> <br />We fished his favorite type of cover and fished docks very little. Most of the fish were on blowdowns anyway. Very few fish were caught on docks today. BG shads in any color that you wanted to throw. 1/32 oz jigheads almost all day. A couple of places, I threw 1/16 oz and we both donated several jigs to Mother Nature. I did a little scouting in that new area and found out what I needed to know about most of that place. <br /> <br />Our totals for the day were 69 crappie, 3 bass, and 6 bluegills. The fish were in brush in about 8 feet of water. My new Eagle fish elite works perfectly now. I had to quit and go pick up the grandkids at school, or John and I wouldn&#39;t have stopped on 69. We intended to catch 70, but I had a phone call and the boss wanted me home quickly so that I could run the school errand for her. The boss won out. <br /> Thanks, John for all the good help today.
