Ok, I am considering the Diawa Exceler as my reel of choice if it will cast light lures. The problem is trying to pick a 2-piece rod to go with it. I'd prefer to have medium lite weight rod. and cast stuff from 1/8 to 3/4 ounce. I'd like to say I am going to catch LMB and large pickerel, but I'd expect I'm more likely to catch more pickerel in the 13-17" range as I have done this year.

While they aren't baitcasting rods, I did find bait casting a rod I'd like. Unfortunatly I emailed them and they weren't able to tell me whom would have them in my area. Sigh.

They do have them in bait casting rods..
look up Rino.com and look at what they have to offer. or were you already saying you found one of their modles you liked.

I like to have them in my hand as well to get the feal of them,

I remember when I walked out of the store I acturaly walked out with a bait caster insted of a spincas rod wich was what I wanted.

the ugley stick has a number of rods to choose from as well. you might find one of those to your liking.

If your any where near a bass pro shop you might give them a call.

you may want to open the phone book page of the net to see which strores are around you, give them a call to see wich brands they carry.

being smaller bait shops they dont realy get the noteriety that a large retail store will get for being a distributor.

If your looking for a rino, you can forget wallmart and kmart. Kmart hasnt bought any new stock in years and wall mart is fazing out thier fishing line except for select locations that fishing is a major industry.

cabelas also should cary rino.

I would say between cabalas or bass pro and posibly gander mountain and a slite chance that dicks sports you should be able to find the rod of choice,

one thing to remember, the closer to december you get the less likely they will have one on stock and they wont restock untill march.

[#005000]Rhino rod is okay, but look into a Berkley Lighting Rod! It has split seat and comes in 7'. They are very good for the price also it is very good for sensitivity feeling. I have one and it works real good and it is comfortable for me![/#005000]
[#005000]I purchased the Lighting Rod & Garcia Silver series bait-casting at Dick's Sporting for total of $73.49. Hope this helps you out more![/#005000]

I have the same reel and I have it on a medium-action Fenwick rod. Love the setup, so I recommend getting a Fenwick rod.
