Spoonbill and I launched at 8:30.Slight walleye chop and water temps at 49 degrees.
Ran over to Salratus then to Rabbit and didn't find any concentration of fish. At the mouth of Rabbit we did mark alot of fish from 55 to 67 feet that I was fairly sure were walleyes. Being at that depth we would have killed them If we could have got them to bite so we left them alone.
Cranked up the Verado and ran down to the other side of the bridge where we had good success during the Classic in Sept.
We marked a fair amount of fish but scattered so decided to put the bouncers down.
It was slooow. Not so much the fishing but my reaction time and my lack of paying attention [crazy]
First fish was a good one pushing 28 inches and we were guessing 8 #. Spoonbill took a pic and I released her. I ended up poping one more about 17 inches and missed 4 bites.
Spoonbill only had one bite and lost the fish half way to the boat. It looked like it could have been a good one according to the bend in the rod.
Great day to be on the water with the weather being comfortable and good company.
For a change no wind [cool] A rare day on Starvation.
