Planned to get some fillets for folks at work and was wondering if we had caught all of the biggest crappies off of my deep water spot. I was pleasantly surprised. The water must have been up as the top of my best spot was at least a 32 count drop today. I fished with Panfish Assassins and BG shads from right about 10 AM until 11:30. The fishing was much slower than it was Sat. during the tournament but the fish were much bigger. Two of the first three fish that I caught were TARP fish and the third was 13 and 7/8 inches. I caught a couple other small ones then I caught a personal best for length at almost 15.5 inches, it tipped my scales at 2.5lbs. I have only caught one bigger weight wise but it was late winter and was full of eggs and shad and was a half pound larger but only 15 inches. I only caught a couple more smaller fish off the spot and finished on some off shore brushpiles in the creek that has been holding keepers just to get a few more fillets. I have never caught so many big fish in a day and in such a short time, with 3 TARPS. Here are some pics of the 15+ and one of the other 14 inchers. Chickamauga is becoming a fantastic crappie lake, that is for sure!
