I went out this weekend to Lake Mead. First I netted some shad down in the Las Vegas wash. Then looked for boils none to speak of. Pulled into coves by 33 hole and saw perfect conditions. Birds everywhere on shore and circling in the air and shad blipping in the water.But no fish in the area.

Then we trolled rattle traps picked up a few 1.5 lbs. Then we went to sand island jigged and tried Bait picked up a few small ones. Same results with down riggers. I was wondering if the fish have moved due to the low water or if the all the fish over 2 pounds have been harvested.

Any reports out there?

I have experienced the slowest action this fall of all the fall fishing I've done on Lake Mead. Still catching shad and stripers, but not like in the past when the livewell was filled quickly and two on the boat could bring home an ice chest full of fish. Haven't fished as much this fall as in the past and it just seems that almost every time I head out onto the lake it is really windy. [crazy] What the heck..... any day on the water is a great day.
