Thinking of going to the berry tomorrow (friday) for one last time on soft water. Would like to leave early and get back before dark. I can take 2 more without being too crowded. I would leave davis county around 5:30 am and leave around 3 pm or so. I have a boat and truck so I love to take dads and their kids too. PM me if interested.

Craig, please leave a few for Saturday.

I only keep catch the slot sized ones of course and never touch the big ones you catch. I know those are off limits. I hope you aren't thinking of going up sat before or during the storm Kent!

If it is too bad we will move on to Plan B (whatever that is). With a little luck we will be before the storm and if not, hopefully the roads aren't too slick. Snow before will make it a challenge to get the cover off of the boat (frozen tie down ropes).

I can't tell you how much fun that sounds like. Good Luck

I'll be up there at the crack o' dawn. White/blue Viper fish n' ski wearing my warm camo. Last minute trip.

I hope we see you there. We should be there around 7:30. Just to give it a chance to warm up to 25 degrees.

I just spoke to Craig on his cell phone and he launched from The Strawberry Marina this morning around 7:30 AM. He gave out a warning that the ramp is extremely slick (undoubtedly from water dripping on the ramp from boats and boat trailers as they are pulled out of the water and up the ramp) and he said his tires slipped as he backed down the ramp until his rear tires reached the water.

It was slick and I probably would have launched in the same spot but there was a guy that was warning others. It might have been him that warned me. Thanks to whoever it was.

We talked to some nice guys about the slick ramp. There was 3 of us in a crew cab tacoma...silver short bed.

Oh, disregard my reply on the other thread [crazy]. Good lookin' truck! Thanks for putting out the word of the slick ramp, it got around. That must have been you guys in the white boat, I was straight across the bay for quite a while until the w*&^ picked up. When I came in there were a couple guys in a beautiful Ranger Reata with a kicker motor, he asked how I did and I told him and he was surprised and said that everyone that he talked to didn't do very well and that they only caught five fish. lol, I didn't know what to say without me sounding like a fisherman (liar) so I just walked away...Strawberry fishing in the fall is going to spoil me, if you miss a hook set they come right back. I had a cutt follow my pointer 5' from the boat so I stopped and it bit, I missed and it came back and hit it again! I'll stop rambling, Strawberry is awesome.
