Well yesterday was my 26th birthday, and had taken off work and decided whats a better way than fishing to celebrate it. After getting a few tips and reading some old reports I took off and got on the lake around 11:00. The water temp were around 56-59 degrees throughout the day. It was bluebird skies which was a killer. There was a little wind that was steady. I started out waiting to go get Luke and fished around wolftever hoping to maybe get a rockfish. There were huge pods of baitfish in the main channel area and I used my spoon on em. Caught a white bass and a good green one there. Went and got luke at chester frost, and thanks to all who posted the pics as I didn't get caught on the sand bar. We started out fishing sloughes and the mouths of them with spoons, spinners, rattletraps, and cranks. Caught one crappie and that was it. Went back ovver towards the wolf, and saw some birds so we started chunking and winding again. No more fish for me but luke did get a good one. It seemed as the day went on the worse the fishing. The pic is of the bass I caught earlier in the morn. For my birthday my parents got me the wireless controller for my trolling motor. It is a great thing to have. I had better control Of my V2 powerdrive than with the foot controller. And for the colder winter months the wife got me some books on crappie and bass fishing and the newest season of The Bass Pros since direct cut out versus on us. Overall a great b-day.
