met SteveB at the grasshopper ramp around 8:30 this morning so he could see the sideimager in action before he committed to buying one.

fog was still very thick on the upper end so it was very slow going getting over to sale creek to show him some docks and other structure on the 798.

the first bluff area we hit hads lots of fish on it but they didnt seem to be in the mood. headed over to some off shore stuff that i had found on a previous trip to see
if polodogs lessons had stuck with me. THEY DID ! i found it , was able to put my marker buoy in just the right spot AND we found the structure with numerous jigs lost to it emoTongue

although quite a few fish showed on it only one was willing to bite so we ran off down river doing some more scouting and looking with the 798. found a few more willing fish but the wind was getting up
and making it hard to keep on the spot so we ran over to possum creek where it was CROWDED ! i tried to give the guys in the channel area some room but got to far over and bent 2 blades on my prop and broke off about 4" of skeg emoDoh emoDoh emoDoh (not enough damage to keep from fishing though)

hit fallen trees docks and such back in possum only to find there was NO pattern at all today we would get a couple on a 10 count move a few feet and get a couple more on a 5 count. move
a little more and get a couple on a 15 count or even on bottom. never did get more than 2-3 fish on any single depth or spot.

color didnt seem to matter much as long as it was a lighter shade. the only thing the darker colors got were 3 large golden shiners for steve emoPoke

ended the day at around 3pm or so with 30 crappie in the boat 3 golden shiners a couple of blue gill and a few small lm bass we had 20 over 11" that went home with me to feed the kids . one
was just over 13" that i caught and steve had big fish with a 13-1/2 .

despite the boat damage it was still a great day to be on the water with great company thanks for coming along steve
