<br /> The fall fishing frenzy continues. I went out today on Soddy Creek to use up the excess minnows from the previous day. They still had plenty of pep left in them and it seemed like a waste to let them die in the bucket. So I decided that they would go out swinging, or at least swimming. The wind was blowing pretty good, so I stayed behind a bridge & slowly drifted the edge of the creel channel with 3 rods set up with 3 different kinds of jigs, all tip with a large minnow. On a 4th rod , I had a double willow leaf spinner, casting to the rip rap along the bridge. I was only 50 yds from the boat ramp, Aiming at a tree just off shore in 6-8 ft of water, I let it fly. As the sun caught the shiny metal of the blades, I got a direct beam of light off the reflection and suddenly all hell broke loose! I engaged the reel and made a couple of quick cranks.. WHAM, FISH ON! A nice bass launches itself, shaking it head madly. I think to myself, SWEET! Then one of my other rods start to throb.. WHAM another FISH ON! Oh crap, there goes a rod on the way out of the boat! I snatch it up & put my foot on it. Reeling the bass in as it continues to jump. I hoist an 18 " small mouth over the side and grab the rod on the floor, this fish is making a run for deep water. I get on the motor and try to gain some line back. To my amazement it is a 17" walleye. I've got 2 fish flopping in the floor and haven't been fishing 30 minutes. SWEET! As I'm taking these fish off the hook and try to get a photo. Both other lines out get FISH ON! I had 4 fish in the bottom of the boat! After getting caught back up I baited up and made the drift again. it was a repeat of the first. I was running around in the boat, like a chicken with it's head cut off! LOL! The action lasted for about another hour. One of the best days fishing I've had in a long time! OH! What a great day. Take Care, Tight Lines & FISH ON!
