Put in at CFP about 7:30. Mr Yellburt had come up from Nick to join me for a day of crappie chasing. Chasing is what we did. We fished bluffs, docks, blow downs, and open water structure. Caught a few fish here and there. Ended the day about 3:00 With 18 pretty decent keepers in the boat largest 13-13 1/2and probably threw back 10-12 littles. Also caught a couple of decent spots on jigs.

We fished mainly 1/16 BG Shad in many colors. Fish were hard to hook up today, and the wind didn't help any. Tommy got a little excited just after telling me he wanted to keep some fish for the family. He landed a solid 11" crappie, had to use the pliars to get jig out, then promptly closed the livewell and threw the fish overboard. I said I thought you wanted some fish, and he said didn't I put it in the livewell? You had to be there emoUp

It was a pleasure to get one of the Nick boys up here catching some Chick crappie. He even made me some hot chocolate while we were fishing emoThanks A bit of a tough day, but we managed to get a nice mess of fish in the end. Drumking stopped by and gave Tommy 3 nice crappie for the family. Good to see him and Murdock on the lake. Drumking hardly gets to fish anymore as everyone on the lake knows him and stops by to say hi. He probably taught all of us about crappie fishing. And he caught another 12# giant albino "crappie", lol.

Thanks for joining me Tommy, enjoyed the company and the hot chocolate too.

Regards, Labman
