I had fun netting! emoRolleyes It was one of those days. Mallard called and said he was going to Chattanooga and he was coming back through here and it was a beautiful day. I had an appointment the wife said she would take care of, so off we go. I should have known better after he said he saw EricM. I know where all of Eric's not so good luck went. Thanks Eric! emoDoh We put the boat in, it only grunted. No problem, got the jump starter, off we go to Bill's favorite place. We didn't quit gliding and Bill had a fish on. Then another. Then several more. I had line issues, too much in fact. New line that would just peel off the reel. I tried to straighten it out between netting fish. Bill caught 9 keepers there and about that many throwbacks. I really don't think I had a bite. We had a mess of fish and left them biting. Let's try another spot. Jump the engine off. Bill caught a white bass and the only thing that saved my skunk was a bluegill that wouldn't have made good bait. Jump the boat off and get toward the ramp and look for hybrids. We decided to bass fish while waiting on them. My first cast, my baitcaster disintegrated. Side cover on the bottom of the lake. Change poles. Neither species showed up. Bill felt sorry for kicking my a$$ and gave me a nice mess of fish. 5 of the 9 crappie were over 14 inches. I couldn't even take a pic of a fish, damn water spot on the lens. emoBang I still had fun.
