Sorry for the late report/post...... This report is for Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday Bill and I fished the weekly dogfight out of the Dam. 30 boats showed up Saturday morning for the tournament. When I drove through downtown Chatsworth @ 6am it was 30 degrees so I'm guessing on top of the MTN on the water had to be mid-upper 20's. So a little chilly early but turned out to be a beautiful day on Carters Lake. We focused Mid-Upper main lake areas throughout the day fishing large depth zones from 20-50ft of water w/ mostly dropshots, jighead worms, and fish heads and ended the day boating around 30 keepers. We caught and culled numerous 2-2.5lb spots especially late in the day. Best bite seemed to be in 30-40ft of water w/ drop shots..... Color didn't seem to matter much Saturday, we just had one of those days you love having in a tournament. Fishnvol knows all about those magic days on Carters, don't you Chris? Smile

We ended the day finishing 2nd w/ 17+lbs. 1st went to Brian Wilson and partner from Calhoun w/ 18+lbs, and 3rd went to the young team of Josh Betterton and Jacob Rymer w/ 15+lbs. Congrats to those guys for their great stringers of spotted bass.

Sunday I had a chance to take my dad to the lake. He wanted to work on his dropshotting and graph orientation so we fished vertical the entire day. Probably only made a handful of forward casts the whole day, we ended up catching 25 or so keepers no big spots just a lot of fun. Most everything was again between 30-50ft of water, most fish were on bottom.

Here's a couple of pics. If anyone is interested in doing a trip to learn some dropshotting please drop me a line, this technique will work anywhere you go all seasons. Good fishing and please make note of our December Benefit tx:

THANKS TO ALL THE CFF MEMBERS WHO SHOWED UP TO HELP US RAISE MONEY FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. WE'VE GOT ONE MORE BENEFIT TX:

Saturday December 12th, Safelight-3pm, Entry Fee will be $80 per team $40 for solo, 5 fish limit, 12inch min on Spots and LM, normal tx rules apply (no livebait, etc)...... There will be plenty of door prizes and give aways after the weigh in for those who do not place. We're also gonna pay 2 big fish prizes again during this tournament, big spot and we're gonna attempt to pay a big largemouth again if there is any largemouth left in Carters.... Spots are drowning them all LOL. Damon Taylor aka "Cutthroat" done a fantastic job and will be back to do the blast off and weigh in and asks for everyone to be in the water early and ready for boat check. Blast off order will be determined by sign up order. Here's how to sign up for the tournament.

Rich and the guys from Laniermapped.com will be coming back to film the weigh-in again as well. If you haven't seen their work w/ the last tournament you can watch the video at laniermapped.com. They do a great job.

1. Sign up at S&K Sporting Goods in Chatsworth, Ga.

2. For those who are out of town, call S&K Sporting Goods to sign up over the phone. The call in's will pay their entry fee at the ramp the morning of the tournament.

3. Pay the morning of the tx at the ramp, but remember the blast off order will be the sign up order and THERE WILL ONLY BE 1 FLIGHT.

This is for a great cause and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us.

Any questions drop me a line. Thx
