From what I have heard a lot of lakes are starting the process, but nothing that I would consider all the way frozen or maybe even completely safe all around. I think that Scofield is the closest (It may be just about all frozen by now - Last I heard just patches in the middle). Of course Scofield isn't exactly close to the Valley. Good luck where ever you decide to go.

Tibble can be a dangerous lake with ice. There are warm spots that make the ice dangerous in places at times. That is one lake to watch where you step any time on the ice.

[cool]Utah Lake (during the years that it actually DOES freeze-some years it does not) usually has safe ice in the harbors before Christmas. It's usually safe past the boat harbors around New Years or so... We'll see what happens this year. We are finally starting to get some cold morning temps now with it getting down to about 10 degrees last night. If that continues, things should freeze according to normal at U.L. We have snow coming in next week, so after that hits the ground, it should help with low temps/ice making going forward...

Geoff hit Utah lake right on the head. I ice fished it Christmas eve a few years ago and had it not be safe yet other years. By New Years there seems to be somewhere on the lake that is frozen enough to walk on.
Sent you a PM.
