we got to the lake around 8 and was planning on going after some crappie to start and maybe do a little bass fishing later in the day.but we noticed some schooling fish and had to give it a try.the first hour we caught around 15 bass in the jumps on swimbaits and spoons.after that the fish moved deeper and we followed catching another 35 or more on spoons.the bite was good til about 2:30 and then died down so we decided to give the crappie a try.we were unable to get on the crappie and only managed to catch 3.most of the bass were caught in 15-25 ftw, water temp was 55 when we started and was up to 57 when were left.all the bass we landed were keepers except for 5,and we had 2 over 5 lbs and several in the 3-4lb range.
thanks Kenneth for filling the back seat,it was the best day of catching that i have had since spring.
