Well still no luck on the job front so killed a few hours this afternoon fishing.. Doodle from Sportsman Warehouse was having battery issues on his boat so he decided to ride along.. We headed down towards the bend for some spots and we caught them but it was slow... fished rock walls in 20-30 ft of water with steep drops and wood cover and a few ditches.. Caught fish on cranks, tubes, jerkbaits and worms.. Crankbaits seemed to be the best today.. shallow square bills to be specific.. About 430 we headed back towards the dam and fished some rip rap banks for the last hours.. The spillgates opened around 5 and the last hour produced some good bites. Doodle has a real nice smallie on but after a lengthy fight it pulled off the jerkbait right at the boat.. So i tied on a custom painted shad rap #9 and about the 5th cast i got lite up... Was a good battle with current and light line on spinning gear.. fought like a smallie but was a nice fathead close to 4 lbs.. Was about dark after this so we headed in.. Bagley(we changed the dogs name he didnt like buster LOL) rode along today and was a well behaved puppy all day... He is going be a great pet.. Total fish for the day was 19 a lot slower then Sunday but still was a fun day..
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg

hot Crankbait
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg

custom painted Shad Rap by Joes custom bait check him out on Ebay hes good and if u bid right can get them priced well i got this one for 10 bucks including shipping.. a shad rap in the store will cost ya 8 or 9 http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341...hadrap.jpg
