We fished the West side by the island. The fishing was hot all day, mostly for the planters. We did have a really big quake; the whole lake trembled and things really opened up. the one picture is of a fracture of the ice that was pushed up from the quake. The other is of a crack that opened wide enough to put your boot into the opening. We did catch three nice bows and one nice tiger.

Good to see you again.

I have never seen/felt the ice shift like that before. It was amazing. The whole ice sheet shifted about three inches. Water even sloshed out of my hole. Fun times! It happened at about 11:00 and then again a little after noon. I was worried the preassure ridge was going to break up and I would have to walk around it.

Fishing was fast for me also, but not much in the size department. Largest was a 17" cutt and only two other over 15". Lots of little fish to keep me busy all day.

sure would have liked to join you today.. Might have been fun to have Tiff along to watch her jump every time there was a bump in the ice![sly]
