took the boat out to PV today and arrived to a very very unseasonably warm 11F. had the boat out on the water at 630 and just sat there for a bit to warm the main and kicker up... once i got the kicker figured out with some help from TS on the phone. went a ways past cemetary point and started trolling towards the narrows. made it to the hump in the narrows on the south side that shoots from 60 feet to 20 feet and started marking a ton of fish. by now the wind is blowing ans its snowing pretty well. putted around with the bow mount and caught about 100 perch all about 4 inches lonmg, and one that went about 12, then low and behold a 6 inch crappie. im pretty sure the people passing me on the road thought i was friggen nuts cause i was a snow man on the bow of the boat and the gray inside of my boat turned white. all fish were caught between 48 and 52 feet of water and were every where in the narrows. i was using flash jigs tipped with wax worms and night crawlers. got off around noon cause i started to freeze.

Nice to hear the report. Any Ice forming in the bays? I was fishing the Ogden in the canyon and wanted to take a peak up at the reservoir but ran out of time.

Thanks for the report.
It appears that the Perch are back but it will still be a year before they are large enough to take home.

Last month, I did catch about 10 Perch that were over 9" long.
There are some big Perch in there, you just have to get through all the little ones to find them.

Pineview should be fun this ice season but don't get caught on the West side of the buoys.
They were mover from the Dam area and places close to the Caretakers house.

It is a Federal offense to cross them.[Homeland Security]
