Full Version: ODNR to Recognize Ohioans for Their Commitment to the States Natural Resources

COLUMBUS, OH - Plant species enthusiast Jim Bissell, the late forest preservationist Robert Redett, dedicated natural resources educator Jim Rinier, passionate environmentalist Nelson (Bud) Talbott, and true conservationist Georgia Welles will be inducted into the Ohio Natural Resources Hall of Fame at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 10 at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Fountain Square Complex in Columbus. The Natural Resources Hall of Fame is the state's highest honor awarded for conservation.

The Ohio Natural Resources Hall of Fame was established by ODNR in 1966. To date including the class from 2009, 150 individuals have been accorded the honor, which recognizes a lifetime devoted to the preservation, protection and wise management of Ohio's natural resources.

ODNR will also present its annual Cardinal Awards for outstanding conservation achievement to Frank Phelps and Dick Sorg.

Directions: From I-71, go east on Morse Road, through the Karl Road intersection and past the former Northland Mall location. At the light with the Bob Caldwell Dodge Dealership on your left, turn right and then take an immediate left onto the service road. Turn right into the complex at the 2045 Morse Road entrance.
