Me and my buddy got up this morning and went over to UL to do a little ice fishing. We arrived at about 7:30 and as soon as we dropped in the games were on. We caught alot of blue gill and white bass and a few perch, crappie, and a couple sunfish as well. The ice now is about 5-6 inches thick.

[cool]Thanks for the report! How many white bass would you say that you caught today and bluegills if you had to guess? Any size to them this trip?

My buddy and I were out at Lindon yesterday (11am-2pm) and today (8am-noon) and did okay. It was our first time on the ice. I wasn't even cold. A little scared of falling through the ice, but not cold.
We caught mostly white bass jigging a couple inches to a foot or so off the bottom. We landed about 25 between the two of us on both days. I asked another angler if that was good, bad, or average and he said that it was just average.
I am curious if AF harbor, pumphouse area, and Pelican are any better right now. If anybody has advice or tips on these areas, PM me and it will be greatly appreciated.
We'll probably be looking to go a couple more times next week. Hopefully to Pelican or the other (non-Lindon) areas.

Fished by the pumphouse today(12/12) 8:30-2:30. Ice is 6 inches. Used a white glow jig head tipped with crawler. Fishing was fairly steady until about 1:00 then it shut down. Kept 15 crappie, 5 white bass, and 4 bluegill. Fished in 10 feet of water. Crappie were suspended 3-5 feet the bottom with a real light bite. White bass and bluegill were closer to the bottom.
I think I talked to HFT....nice to meet you!

Pump house Ice is good. As was said 6" all over. I used several jigs, Chartreuse Booger worked best for me. I did forget smelly jelly though. take a knife to put a piece of meat on the hook. I think the fish get a little finicky there because of all the noise the fisherman make on the ice. There is always new holes being drilled, kids running around, radios, lots of commotion etc. and Water transmits sound better than air. A couple guys by me were doing well with heddon sonars.

i was over at the pelican bay area. it was great weather and great fishing. i was just using a chartreuse/green ice fly and a little pink ratphinky tipped with a wax worm. the fish were hangin at about 2 feet off the bottom in about 8-10 feet of water.

Lehi...go west at round about to saratoga springs road south to pump house. if you cross the river you have gone too far. parking lot on north side of road. pump house is back off the road on the south with a couple other houses. walk down the road that looks like a drive way to the houses but walk around the houses to the fishing area.
