finished up working early today so I headed up to panguitch, 12-15" fresh snow on the ice and I didn't feel like fighting it, so I headed down the road to Otter, (no snow) Hit the ice about 2:00, the ice is 6" by the dam, punched 2 holes in 16' water, droped the camera in the hole. fished that spot for an hour no fish, no hits, moved to 21' water, no hits no fish, moved to 12' water, no fish, no hits, I did watch a fellow ice man pull a 6lb bow out of his hole, what a pretty fish. Moved one more time and no hits no fish. I was hoping I could get rid of my jynx on that lake, I am not giving up though, back over christmas break. I could really use some tips on that lake, I fished all my jigs, multiple colors, tiped with waxies, minows, worms, I went through the box, NADA today. What usually works at otter? Jacksonman, NO TIGERS, It was frustrating not even seeing fish on the camera.

Dude. Sorry to hear that. Both times I ice fished it last year we killed them. Pink 1.5 inch ice cutter son 1/16 ounce heads in 20 feet of water. Most of the fish were in the top half of the column. I heard Otter was slow this year but no bites all day is crazy!!

How where the edges I heard they were a little soft.

The edges were okay, it was the 2" off water on 6" of ice that freaked you out, there was a thin crust over 2" of water you would break through as you walked, everystep you just hoped it was solid underneath, Jacksonman, for some reason the lake this year is suffering, I personally think fish numbers are way down, I only seen a few fish iced all afternoon by a dozen guys. What was most frustrating was no fish on the sonar, or the camera, usually even if there not biting I see fish. That was the distrubing part, I guess I need to try down on the north end for the cuts, but I don't think the ice was very solid down there.
