Hello fellow Fishermen and Fisherwomen,

The American Fisheries Society's Portneuf Student Chapter is organizing its 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Derby at Chesterfield Reservoir. This is a fundraiser for our (Pocatello/Southeast Idaho) AFS chapter and all the proceeds go to fisheries educational purposes.

It will be on January 23rd from 8am-3pm. The entry fee is $20 per person and is limited to the first 150 participants. 1st place will get 25% of pot, 2nd 15% of pot, and 3rd 10% of pot. There will also be a raffle for donated outdoor and fishing gear, discounts, and gift certificates from local businesses.

Do any of you know who the main Biologist is for that part of the state??? I wanna send an email telling them what a good job they are doing there. Please post up him email if you would!!

It was fun. alittle bad weather but good fishing. they said it was full and when the time came for the tournement and it was snowing the ones that entered but didn't pay whimped out and never showed . Hopefully they will collect the fees from everyone before they close the entry and if you don't show bummer.

After you click his new link, on the left had side in the middle of the page there is "News" right below that it says "Ice fishing derby". Has all the information you need including a form to fill out Poky we had fun last year.. looking forward to it again.
