I was at LBH Monday morning. It was pretty slow for me. 3 whities and a couple of perch. Moved around a bunch. Just couldn't find them, or get them to bite.

Slayed, In real estate sales, we use the term "R&D". Most of us have a definition that comes quickly to mind, Resarch and Development. In RE, it means "Rip off and Duplicate".

Consider your line about giving up fishing having been R&D'ed.

Utah lake was slower than hell yesterday. It was totallly boring. The major fish movement of this season is past. The whole lake is capped which will slow down white bass movement into feeding areas considerably. Between me and my cute fishin buddy we managed to ice only 19 bluegills. I let my girl hook more of them so she wouldn't be bored lol. I was too sick to take advantage of the hot weekend bite. Being curled up into a ball with chills is not fun compared to being out on the water. Oh well, there are plenty other options still to be had.

I was at the pumps today. Ice was 5-6", and the fishing was pretty decent. I landed close to 50 in 3 hours, but should of had double that. I'm still pretty rusty at hooking the little buggers. On my way out I ran into HFT. Seemed like a really cool guy. Always nice to meet guys from this board. [fishin]

zrider2 you had a better day there than me. I did manage to catch a catfish. although it looked as though all the guys around me was having a good day. Most of the fish I saw hitting the ice were 5 " or less.

Nice to meet you too!

Kevin, I wrote that pre-nap. Post-nap, I am a bit fresher. I had a few punctuation errors and left an "r" off of "you." Sorry 'bout that. In Real Estate sales, we are always looking for good ideas, good lines, and other things that work. As soon as we see one we appropriate it for our own use and tweak it to fit our immediate need, hence, Ripp-off and duplicate. I just thought the line about having given up fishing for a weekend was a great line and I have ripped it off and will duplicate it as appropriate.

[cool]It's red hot for the bluegill and white bass. I slayed 'em on Sunday afternoon while worshipping at the Church of the 7th Day Angler there at the North cathedral... Caught about 50 'gils, 10 whities, and two perch. Use glow/white small jigs/flies like Ratso's etc. and tip with waxies. Chartruese was also working well. Fish the harbors or near reeds/structure about 10 feet from shore or so...

I can't wait to go back and get my kiddos into their first ice fishies!

Have fun!

I was getting them on tiny shrimpo's or ratso's about 6" below a flasher. I was tipping them with the small redworms (panfish worms at Walmart). They have a much tougher skin, and I can usually catch 3-5 fish before changing. Where as waxies come off at the first little bite. How big was your Catfish HFT?

Hey that's ok, sorry if I came off the wrong way. That is a pretty good quote about giving up fishing. Good luck with fishing this winter.[fishon]
