I would say that you would need snow mobile to get in. I have tried to hunt that area in November and could not get in a truck. One year my fifth wheel even got snowed in and I had to rent a snow cat to get it out. (Late October)

I was snowmobiling up there last winter. Mill Hollow was dry due to dam repairs. You would need snowmobiles or be willing to hike in a LOOONG way. I would guess 6 to 8 miles from the trailhead. (Hwy 35 above woodland) The trail is usually groomed right up to and past the lake. So it would be a nice right ride but a walk not worth making.
