Hal and I tried a new adventure today. We braved the below freezing temps and 15 mph winds out of the nw and journeyed down to Nickajack dam and fished for some white bass. What a suckie trip this was. No one down there was catching any fish at all. We drifted, we trolled, we cast, and finally after catching just one white bass, Hal was ready to go around the locks and crappie fish. So, we did that too. We landed 5 crappie (1 keeper sized) and another small white bass. I did catch a nice spotted bass on the end of the wing wall and lost another fish on the next cast. Total of 8 fish for 5 hours of fishing. All released to not bite for another day. emoBang

But we learned something. Why go fish another lake when we have the best crappie lake in the area right on our doorsteps. The most aggressive fish bit the ball on my trailer hitch. Check out the pic. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
