I am headed to Fish Lake in the next week. I have fished there in the summer but this is the first time through the ice. Does anyone mind pointing me in the right direction? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Bait type, Depth, area to fish?

Fishing is good all over the lake just of the moss line some guys like the east side than the west but I have had great succes on both.Use your typical ice fishing tackle, ice flies, tube jigs, kastmasters.I tip mine with meal worms. If you are going for macks (i am no expert) 3-4" pearl or white tube jigs tipped with chub, perch or sucker meat and fish in deeper water 70-90ft.If you have a fishfinder it will help you a ton finding the right depth and fish of course.Just be carefull around the twins creek area(by the lodge) and watch the presure ridges especialy if your taking a snowmobile or atv.Its a great place to take kids and let them catch perch.Good Luck.

I just want to confirm what was said, he hit it right on! fish lake rocks! you can use little glow type ice flies tipped with a meal worm in the weed beds to catch perch, then chop em up and tip a white tube jig with a piece of perch. i have done well anywhere from 10 ft of water to 80 ft for splake. usually we just drop to the bottom then up a crank or two if we dont use a fish finder. also i have had success slowly reeling up jigging along the way if no action off the bottom. good luck to you and yours, I hope your experience is as good as mine have been. also be careful on the ice it can be really slick!
