Are Idaho fishing licenses good for the current year or 365 days from when you get it? Also, can you use two poles anywhere?
Thanks,
Justin

A fishing license is good for the calendar year Jan 1 to Dec 31. As far as the two pole permit goes each body of water might have exceptions. For example the areas that are fly fishing only. You might be able to still use two poles but it just would not work. Then there are areas like Lake Pend Oreille where a person can have up to 4 rods with a two pole permit. You just have to check the regs and see if there are any “Special Rules”

Its not uncommon for Idaho to be 20 years behind the others states on a lot of things so, its probably coming along slowly.....
Still a great place to be....

I am not sure why the 365 would be any better? If a person needs a new license Jan 1 that is easy to remember. How many times have you given your Drivers license to someone and it is expired? The Jan 1 for me is easier. Ron

Nope and look at regs its not a good idea too get your legal info off of a social network.
If u got any questions or regards concerning laws its best you grab info off of there web site and or there fishing proclamations

i agree its easiest but for many out of staters... like my self [:/] the 100 bucks you pay for a license that maybe you bought in august, i dont see why you should pay the same 100 bucks for 6 months that someone who gets theres in january. now it would be easier if everyone went out jan 1st and bought theres but for some its not plausable. its kind of like renting an apartment moving in on the 15th but being charged the full price.

Jigs, I have been pushing for the 365 for a few years now. I have no idea why Idaho won't do it but they have no problem raising the out of state fee.
I know Idaho is a little slow on some things, but come on, Utah has been the 365 for what three years going on four. Maybe Idaho will jump on the band wagon for the fifth year, that sounds about right...LOL
