I fished Echo today, it was a b.e.a-utiful day! The sun was out for the majority of the day. Fishing was great, I ended up with about 15 bows and 2 browns. Almost all my fish were caught on pink or white ice cutters. My brother managed to keep the kids happy and caught a few bows as well. The two 4 year olds managed a few fish also.
All fish were caught in about 40 feet of water. Between 10-25 feet under the ice for all the bows. Right off of the bottom for the brownskies.
Ice is plenty thick, but use caution around the edges. It was slushy a good 2-3 feet in where we got on the ice.

As we drove by on the way home, there were fewer people on the ice compared to Rockport. It looks like the water level is coming up at Echo because it was wet all around the lake, especially by the dam. Be careful getting on and off the ice if you go.
